Join Retreat House Spirituality Center and Seneca KAMIR Alma for a storytelling experience on the front lawn of Retreat House on Sunday, October 24 from 4 - 5:30 p.m.

What to expect?

  • Live music and storytelling from 4 - 4:30 p.m.

  • Guided yoga meditation from 4:30 - 5 p.m.

  • Bring your own yoga mat!

  • Bring a blanket or chair if you wish to sit during the performance (or use your yoga mat).

  • The art room will be open for participants desiring to explore the narrative of Seneca’s story and their own through drawing, painting or sketching.

  • Our outside labyrinth will also be available for those desiring to engage in this spiritual practice as a chance to explore both inner and outer worlds.

  • Weather permitting, we will offer this event both in-person as well as broadcast LIVE via ZOOM and on Facebook LIVE.

KMIR will tell the story of his journey through real-life incarceration, soul searching and personal redemption . His performance, combined with live music, will challenge you to think, inspire you to believe in the power of love, imagination and the human spirit. Together, we’ll explore self-compassion as well as compassion for others and the world around us.

Participants will be invited to transition into a yoga meditation lead by KMIR, an embodied practice he developed and used during his time in prison.

Do you plan to attend in person* or virtually? Send us a note to let us know!

*For those joining this event at Retreat House, light snacks and drinks will be provided.
