Leaders of our Common Ground interfaith group Rev. Diane Pennington and Rev. Dr. Jackie Linen-Schade will host a Maundy Thursday lunch and prayer on Thursday, April 14 from Noon to 1 p.m. at Retreat House Spirituality Center during Holy Week in the Christian tradition.

April 14 is an important date for Christians, a day known as Maundy Thursday. The word Maundy comes from the Latin word for commandment. The new commandment is that we are to love one another as Jesus expressed His love for us.

Before Jesus went to the cross, He gathered with His disciples for a meal, and at that meal, He washed the feet of His disciples. It was an act of humble service and love.
