Our next gathering in our Conversations on Racism series will take place Monday, May 1. We will join together at Retreat House to watch the 2016 award-winning documentary “I Am Not Your Negro,” James Baldwin’s story of race in Modern American, based on his unfinished novel, Remember This House. Featuring a brilliant performance by Samuel J. Jackson, the fill was directed by Raoul Peck.
If you want to watch the film at home before May 1, it is available on streaming services like Amazon Prime Video.
You are invited to come in person to Retreat House to join us for a viewing of the film, as well as dinner. Or you can watch it on your own and just join us for the discussion, which will be in-person at Retreat House as well as available to participate via Zoom.
Movie and Dinner will be at 5:00 p.m. at Retreat House
Discussion will take place 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Retreat House or via Zoom, facilitated by Clay and Lila
Registration needed so that we can have food and seating for the screening, as well as to get the Zoom link.
