Ep 27: Let the Trees do the Work: Step into forest bathing with Tammy Minuti
Let the trees do the work.
This is just one of the many insightful soundbites we gathered in our most recent conversation with Tammy Minuti.
A spiritual director first, Tammy recently deepened her training by becoming a forest bathing guide. Don’t let the name fool you. Forest bathing doesn’t always have to happen in a forest. Tammy can mostly be found accompanying others in urban parks near her hometown of Chicago, city arboretums, nature preserves and even guides people to open up their senses to nature in their own backyard.
In this conversation, learn more about forest bathing, its history and Japanese roots, how Tammy incorporates her spiritual direction background into this healing modality of forest bathing as well as how she was led into this natural space with the Divine and particularly why she believes getting outside could be one of the keys to staying grounded in a time such as this.
Also, we are delighted that Tammy will be traveling to Dallas for Retreat House’s first ever Wild Week April 21 - 26– an invitation to get out on the land that will bring prayer practices from different cultures and religions, a variety of ways to pray with art, sacred meditations indoors and outdoors with many invitations to slow down and pause.
