Amy Bird
BIO
Amy holds a Master in Theological Studies from George W. Truett Seminary (2006) and a Master of Social Work from Baylor University (2006). She spent a decade teaching Old and New Testaments in private schools before transitioning to social work, now specializing in serving the elderly in nursing home, hospice, and guardianship roles. She is married to Eric, and together they have five children. In her free time, Amy loves to sing and play guitar, read, write poetry, garden, and enjoy time in nature.

Amy comes from an evangelical background, including a Christian seminary education, but has deconstructed her belief system into one that embraces a lot of mystery. She enjoys discussing spiritual principles across faiths and appeals to people not necessarily associated with a church or specific religious path. She is a member and ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and has done a lot of inner work around the intersection of spirituality and sexuality. She enjoys accompanying people of all walks on their journey toward spiritual awakening and employs a diverse range of spiritual practices to challenge her directees. Her desire is to inspire others to discover and express their true self in the world for its betterment.
