About Us

Retreat House is an intentional spiritual and religious, contemplative community of spiritual directors and spiritual formation leaders working in a covenant relationship to serve individuals and groups who wish to deepen their relationship with God through spiritual direction, education, prayer and retreat offerings.

If you are seeking a deeper relationship with God, we are glad you found us! We have individual and group offerings provided by our House Directors. Or you may wish to reserve Retreat House for your own individual or small group time. Whatever your desire, we hope you will find this a safe space to come and be.

Prayer: Retreat House opens its doors, both virtually and in-person to anyone seeking prayer. We also invite and honor all offerings of prayer.

Hospitality: Retreat House welcomes all to the table. Whether a person is religious or not, spiritual or not, our community is a place to ask questions and to cultivate curiosity in a safe space where authentic relationships among those from various cultures, socioeconomic and racial backgrounds might be cultivated.

Spiritual Companioning: Retreat House seeks to accompany all who are a part of her community to take a long loving look at what is real. Together, our community tends to the garden of the soul seeking to savor the fruit of the Spirit in all things.

Racial Equity Statement

*As our country's racial unrest collectively continues to surface, Retreat House has taken an active role in tending to the deep wounds we collectively and individually carry related to racism. Since 2019, RH has hosted a Conversation on Racism series, facilitated by Rev. Dr. Clay Brantley. These events were originally held in the living room at RH but migrated to ZOOM during COVID-19. Clay utilizes the Circle Way discussion model allowing room for all voices to be heard and valued.

These conversations have allowed participants and leaders to explore questions like: Are there cracks in your views and understandings of racism and how racism affects you? Maybe you're being called to see and speak in a new way around racism? What part of your inner world need attention and care so you might better love yourself, others, the world?

Our prayer is for all who encounter the ministry of Retreat House, will experience joy, abundance, relationship and wholeness.
