There were clouds in the sky but still the sun was rising

It continued its mission to say hello

It is morning

The night has ended

The rays never stopped trying to push through, with each space

In the clouds the rays peaked

One by one waving at me saying

I am coming

My light is present

Watch and see me come fully to you

The clouds never departed

And in a flash my rays were covered.

I looked and the waves had stopped.

When in a flash

In a movement.

Light, the source, my sun had risen higher

Finally, there was my constant light

Reminding me that what is constant will last

What is temporary will drift

And keep on drifting.

And that which is purpose, determined, focused and directional will always be

My light

Reginald Thomas hails from the Caribbean island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. As a child he loved to help his parents with chores and in the shop. He went on to receive his MBA in Finance. He served as the Executive Director of the Social Security in St. Vincent and Director of the International Institution - Inter American Conference of Social Security Studies (CIESS ) in Mexico. Reginald is married with three sons. His is a member of the South Caribbean District of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas (MCCA) and has been a fully accredited Lay Pastor of the MCCA for 20 years. He served the Emmaus community as an Assistant Regional Trainer and is now serving as a member of the Regional Board of Directors with responsibility for Barbados, St. Lucia, Belize, St. Vincent, St. Maarten, Trinidad and Tobago. He is a certified teacher in Spirituality of the Enneagram (Institute for Conscious Being) and a qualified Spiritual Director (Perkins School of Theology). He enjoys his Spiritual Direction Ministry, where he listens for the leading of the spirit and experiences the Grace, Peace, and presence of God.
