I sat at my home altar on a cold, rainy Fall day. My lit candle seemed extra enticing. I observed its light, dancing as the flame reflected on the glass globe.

I became aware of the simple rhythm and ease of my breathing, in and out. It is so automatic regardless of our awareness. God’s amazing creation having breathed into our bodies to sustain us from birth to death.

I wondered if God desires our connection with Him to be just as easy and rhythmical. No requirement for us to remember that connection. He is always there, with or without our awareness. Present in every human whether recognized or not.
