Dear Retreat House Friends,

We are excited to announce that Retreat House received notice this week from the IRS that Retreat House is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS tax code.  This means that any donations to Retreat House may be tax deductible to the donor! Yay!!

The effective date for the exemption is March 15, 2017 so any gifts you made to Retreat House in 2017, you will be able to deduct on your 2018 tax return.  I will send out a letter at the end of the year listing your 2017 and 2018 donations.
